Accuracy International Announces Two New Rifle Models: The AX MK III and AX 50ELR

Recently, Accuracy International (AI) announced their two new rifle models: the AX MKIII and AX 50 ELR rifles. The new AX MKIII evolved from the AI’s multi-caliber AXMC rifle. The AX MKIII is chambered in .338 Lapua Magnum. The AX MKIII can be converted to chamber .300 WIN MAG and .308. While the AX 50 ELR rifle is an evolution of AI’s AX 50 rifle. The AX 50 ELR rifle is chambered in .50 BMG.

USMC Selects Trijicon VCOG As New Squad Common Optic

On Tuesday, Trijicon announced the selection of Trijicon VCOG (Variable Combat Optic Gunsight) as the Marine Corps’ Squad Combat Optic or SCO. Trijicon was awarded the $64 million dollar contract for the SCO. The SCO will be replacing Trijicon’s ACOG and Trijicon’s SDO that are currently in use in the Marine Corps.

Wilson Combat Announces The AR9X Series Of AR Pistols And Carbines That Run EDC X9 Magazines

Last week, Wilson Combat announced the addition to the AR9 family with the AR9X series of AR pistols and carbines. What makes the AR9X different from the Wilson AR9 is that it runs Wilson Combat-Mac Gar EDC X9 magazines. The AR9X comes in three different variants: pistol, SBR, and carbines, all using EDC X9 magazines. The Wilson Combat AR9X retails at $1,995 for non-fluted variants and $2,095 for the fluted.

California compliance would call for the removal of key features of the Retro rifles that would ruin the historical significance and value of the retro rifles. Instead of removing features Brownells instead decided to install Battle Arms Development fixed magazine conversions into the Retro rifles.

Daniel Defense Releases Safety Notification On Delta 5 Bolt-Action Rifle

On Thursday Daniel Defense released a safety notification in regards to a potential defect in the Delta 5 bolt-action rifle. The potential defect is in Delta 5 rifles manufactured prior to September 20th, 2019. Daniel Defense asked all Delta 5 owners to take this safety notification seriously. The affected Delta 5’s may contain a faulty firing pin cross pin, which could potentially lead to a unintentional discharge of the firearm.
