Last Friday, Savage Arms announced in a press release the addition of four new rifles to the 110 lineup chambered in 300 PRC. The 300 PRC by Hornady came out of a Department of Defense extended long range sniper program. The DoD was looking for a round that provided consistent long range results with lighter recoil. Hornady’s 300 PRC was the round that reigned supreme and won the DoD contract.
Last Thursday, Sig Sauer announced the release of the new SIG SAUER MCX Virtus PCP Air Rifle. The airsoft rifle is a faithful one to one recreation of Sig’s MCX Virtus patrol rifle that is chambered in 5.56/300 blackout. The air rifle variant of the Sig MCX Virtus is available in Flat Dark Earth (FDE) or Grey. The MCX will feature a 16” barrel, Sig’s Matchlite Duo Trigger, and weighing in at 8 pounds.
At Shot Show2020, Sightmark showed off their upcoming solar powered red dots. Last week in an Instagram post Sightmark announced the release of their first batch of Element Mini Solar red dots. That first batch of Element red dots will be headed to preorder customers as you read this article.
The US Airforce has official announced that is has begun to procure the first of approximately 125,000 new Sig Sauer M18 pistols. The Airforce announced back in 2018 that it would opt for the compact M18 over the full size M17 pistol as its next service pistol. The first M18 pistols where made available to Air Force Security Forces in May of 2019.
Back in April Wilson Combat released their first collaboration between Wilson Combat and Sig Sauer with the Wilson Combat P320. The WCP320 took Wilson’s signature design elements and parts and infused it into the P320 platform. On Tuesday, Wilson Combat published a press release introducing the new Wilson Combat P320 Carry to their P320 lineup.
Last week, Israeli based Meprolight release an addition to their extensive pistol sight collection with the: Meprolight Adjustable Day/Night sights. These sights will be compatible with Glock, Sig Sauer P-Frames (aka Sig P226), H&K, Ruger, and many others.
Last Thursday, Speer announced the official release of their Gold Dot G2 Carry Ammunition. The new G2 Carry ammo was specifically designed and optimized for compact handguns. The new G2 ammo is available in 9mm, .40, and .45 +P ammunition.
Last week, Davidson’s unveiled three new exclusive ARs due to two recent partnerships. Radical Firearms has joined forces with accessory company Mission First Tactical (MFT) to collaborate on three new rifles.
Last week, CMMG introduced to new variants of the Endeavor and Resolute chambered in Hornady’s new 6mm ARC. This week the company is releasing the Endeavor and Resolute rifles chambered in 6.5 Grendel. The Endeavor will be your Designated Marksman Rifle (DMR) and the Resolute will be your 16” modern AR platform. The Endeavor will retail at $1,699.95 MSRP. The Resolute will retail for $150 dollars less at $1,549.95 MSRP.
Recently, Winchester was awarded a Department of Defense contract to provide frangible 9mm ammunition for indoor and outdoor CQB training. The contract from the DoD is valued at $38 million dollars. The contract with Winchester has an indefinite-delivery date and quantity for the frangible ammunition. The contract between Winchester and the DoD has the potential expansion of compensation up to $62 million dollars for Winchester.

This week Blackhawk and Staccato unveiled their collaboration on a lineup of T-Series Duty Holsters designed specifically for the Staccato 2011. Both companies joined forces to develop, design, and test the new T-series holsters. The T-Series Duty holster for the Staccato lineup will be retention level 2 and level 3.
