You ever wonder what are the best selling guns during the year? Well, now you can have those burning questions answered. Last week, on the Gun broker website it revealed the top selling firearms for 2019.
Last week, Sig Sauer announced the sale of Surplus M17 pistols to the civilian market. Really? Already? Some of you might be asking. There is a reason why Sig Sauer has a surplus of the military’s new M17 pistol. The U.S. Army has decided to transition away from the original coyote tan controls to pistols with black finished controls.
You might be scratching your head and asking, “What in the hell is the Gundies?” I was asking the same question when I seen it on The Firearm Blog this morning. For the uninitiated it is essentially a viewers choice awarded ceremony.
Sig Sauer has been awarded by the Editors of Athlon Outdoors as the Most Diverse manufacturer of 2019. The editors recognize Sig Sauer’s ability to deliver superiority product in class, quality, and innovation.
Back in 2018 Sig Sauer released the civilian version of the M17, the new modular U.S. service pistol. Sig Sauer won the Modular Handgun System by beating out Glock for the contract. Now, flash forward to late 2019 and Sig Sauer is introducing the P320-M18, the civilian version of compact. The M18 was chosen by the Marine Corps to replace Beretta M9 service pistol.
Recently, Sig Sauer completed its delivery of its 100,000th Sig Sauer M17/M18 service pistols. This is a major milestone for Sig Sauer since winning the contract to produce U.S. military new service pistol back in 2017.
Last month, Sig Sauer stealthy revealed the Sig Sauer P365 SAS (Sig Anti-Snag). It was a surprise when it started making the rounds on Sig Sauer social media platforms.
Yesterday, Sig Sauer quietly released the Sig Sauer P365 SAS (Sig Anti Snag). Increasing it already popular P365 series released back in 2017. Currently with the P365 series has three choices: the original P365, the P365 XL, and new the P365 SAS.
Last week, the U.S. Army released the finalist for the Next Generation Squad Weapon Program. The Army was fielding prototype rifle and automatic rifle to replace the M-16. Three companies were chosen to advance with their prototype rifles. That was Sig Sauer, General Dynamics, and AAI/Textron Systems.
Today, begins National Shooting Sports Foundation,(NSSF) annual initiative to celebrate the shooting sports through the month of August. The annual initiative is called National Sports Shooting Month.

Back in late May I wrote an article about Sig Sauer adding to its P365 lineup with the P365 XL. In writing the article I began to recognize that the P365 XL was Sig Sauer’s answer to the Glock 48 that was released in early 2019. Within that article I make a couple of remarks to that notation of market disruption that the P365 XL will cause by challenging Glock’s foothold with the subcompact market.
Back in May I wrote an article discussing a rumor that Sig Sauer was releasing a bigger P365 called the P365 XL this summer. It is official now, today Sig Sauer released the Sig Sauer P365 XL to the market.
