No Beavertail, No Problem: Driven Arms Drops ULCG NT

Driven Arms Co. has introduced a new variant of its popular Utility Compact Grip (ULCG) lineup with the release of the ULCG NT (No Tail), a streamlined design that removes the traditional beavertail.

The result is a flat-top profile, offering a unique aesthetic and feel that some shooters may prefer, especially those running compact or minimalist rifle setups. The design features a flat-top look of Guile from the Street Fighter series. Giving it a distinctive visual identity within the AR grip module market.

Familiar Ergonomics, Refined Design

Despite the removal of the beavertail, the ULCG NT retains the core ergonomic foundation that defines the ULCG lineup. The grip is built around practical handling improvements aimed at control, comfort, and consistency.

10.4-Degree Grip Angle

The ULCG NT utilizes a 10.4-degree grip angle, designed to promote a more natural wrist alignment particularly beneficial for SBRs, PDWs, and other compact rifle configurations where traditional grip angles can leave the wrist not in a optimal alignment.

Optimized Rear Hump & Anti-Slip Ledge

A carefully shaped rear hump ensures solid contact in the palm, potentially improving control during firing. This is complemented by an anti-slip ledge and directional texture, helping to lock the shooter’s hand in place without becoming overly aggressive.

Integrated Storage Floor Plate

The grip also includes an integrated floor plate, allowing users to store small essentials such as lubricant, batteries, or other compact accessories: a practical addition for both range and field use.

Price & Availability

With the ULCG NT, Driven Arms Co, offers a subtle but meaningful variation on its established grip design, catering to shooters who prefer a beavertail-free interface without sacrificing ergonomics. It’s a niche adjustment, but one that reflects the continued evolution of user preference in the AR space.

The ULCG NT is available now, with pricing ranging from $39.95 to $49.95, depending on color. Available finishes include Black, OD Green, and FDE, giving users flexibility to match their build while maintaining a clean, functional setup.
