It appears that Disney’s Daredevil series can’t survive past the three-season mark. Netflix’s Daredevil ended in 2018 after three seasons, and now Marvel Studios has confirmed that Daredevil: Born Again will conclude with its upcoming third season on Disney+.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, sources within Disney and Marvel Studios confirmed that Season 3 will be the final season of Daredevil: Born Again. The announcement comes as production on the third season is nearing completion, while the series is also parting ways with showrunner Dario Scardapane.

The Bottom Line

Disney has been restructuring its entertainment business, including Marvel Studios, as the company looks to streamline its television and film operations. Daredevil: Born Again is now joining a changing group of Marvel television projects as the studio adjusts its approach to Disney+.

While VisionQuest is still scheduled to premiere in October 2026, Wonder Man is among the Marvel series that will not continue into another season. At the same time, Marvel has reportedly greenlit a new spy thriller internally referred to as Zodiac.

At the end of the day, no one outside Marvel Studios knows exactly what Kevin Feige’s long-term plan is for Marvel television and film. The MCU has undergone several creative and structural changes since Avengers: Endgame, and Marvel is now attempting to establish a more focused direction for the franchise.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day and Avengers: Doomsday are expected to play important roles in the MCU’s next chapter. Whether Disney and Marvel ultimately chooses to pursue a full reboot of the universe and its characters remains to be seen.
