Vortex Awarded OTA For Next Generation Squad Weapon Fire Control Prototype From US Army
Yesterday, it was announced by Vortex that the US Army has issued an Other Transaction Authority (or OTA) to Vortex Optics. In this solicitation the Army is pursuing Vortex to manufacture a prototype optic for the Next Generation Squad Weapon Program-Fire Control Unit. (NGSW-FC).
Sig Sauer Unveils New Prototype Rifle For The Next Generation Squad Weapon Program
Last week, the U.S. Army released the finalist for the Next Generation Squad Weapon Program. The Army was fielding prototype rifle and automatic rifle to replace the M-16. Three companies were chosen to advance with their prototype rifles. That was Sig Sauer, General Dynamics, and AAI/Textron Systems.
