Introducing the AX // Hyve
Aero Knox and C3 Firearms have partnered to introduce the AX // Hyve suppressor, a new design that departs from conventional linear baffle stacks in favor of more complex gas-management geometry. The AX // Hyve is built around the idea that consistent suppression, flash reduction, and system stability are achieved not through volume alone, but through controlled disruption of gas flow at multiple stages inside the suppressor.
Honeycomb Blast Chamber
At the front of the AX // Hyve is a 360-degree honeycomb blast chamber, positioned to intercept high-pressure gases immediately as they exit the muzzle. This structure is intended to disrupt early gas expansion, increasing surface interaction and slowing the pressure spike before gases enter the main baffle stack. By addressing gas behavior at the earliest point in the system, the design aims to reduce first-round pop and improve consistency between initial and subsequent shots.
Afterburner Baffles
Following the blast chamber, the suppressor transitions into an Afterburner-style baffle system engineered to manage internal pressure and promote cooling during sustained firing. Rather than focusing solely on peak sound reduction for single shots, the baffle geometry is designed to maintain stable suppression over higher firing volumes, where heat and pressure accumulation can degrade performance. This approach prioritizes repeatability and system balance, particularly during longer strings of fire.
Mushroom Under-Belly Design
Complementing the internal geometry is a mushroom-inspired under-belly design, which further traps, redirects, and slows expanding gases as they move through the suppressor body. Working in concert with the blast chamber and baffle system, this profile contributes to controlled gas flow, reduced signature, and improved flash suppression without relying on excessive back pressure.
Configurations & Availability
The AX // Hyve is offered in 6.375-inch and 7.375-inch configurations, available with six or eight baffles, and utilizes a HUB-compatible mounting system with an optional titanium Plan B adapter. Finish options include Black, Two-Tone FDE, and OD Green. The suppressor carries an MSRP of $1,250 and is currently available through Aero Knox and C3 Firearms.
