Shot Show 2024: First Look At Aero Precision’s Prototype Lever Action Rifle

Aero Precision is well-known for its AR-15s, AR-10s, and barrels, as well as for manufacturing firearm components and accessories to complete custom builds. Recently, Aero has entered the bolt action market with the introduction of the Solus Bolt Gun. Now, Aero Precision is venturing into the lever action market with its prototype lever action rifle. While the prototype lever action does not have an official name or release date yet, we were able to get a first look and glean some details about the prototype lever gun coming from Aero.
The new prototype lever action aims to enter the tactical lever gun market. With this goal in mind, Aero has incorporated common upgrades expected in this type of rifle. The lever gun will boast a 16-inch barrel that is threaded to accept a muzzle device or to directly attach a suppressor. Additionally, it will feature a full-length handguard with a top-mounted Picatinny rail, M-Lok slots, and QD sockets for a sling. Positioned atop the Picatinny rail are a ghost ring rear sight and a fiber optic front sight.
The receiver of the prototype features an upgraded loading gate, an aftermarket trigger, and a lever action that matches the contour of the rifle’s grip. The grip itself showcases modular polymer panels with texturing that will provide shooters with a solid grip.
At the rear of the rifle, Aero Precision employs the popular skeletonized stock found on many tactical lever action rifles today. This stock includes an adjustable cheek riser, attachment points for ammo carriers, and a QD sling socket. To complete the package, the stock features a soft butt-pad to help absorb that recoil. The lever gun from Aero will be available in a couple of different colors such as OD Green and FDE.
The prototype lever action from Aero Precision appears intriguing, to say the least. The company is incorporating all the features and accessories that shooters are seeking in a tactical lever gun. Now, we must wait and see if this rifle will come to fruition or remain a mere fever dream. Only time will tell.
