Jon Bernthal’s incarnation of The Punisher appears poised for a resurgence in 2026, as Disney and Marvel gear up to integrate the anti-hero into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. After flashes of depth and complex characterization in Daredevil: Born Again, Bernthal’s Frank Castle will finally interact with Spider-Man in live-action for the first time in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

As, I was watching the Opening Night Live with Geoff Keighley he dropped some bombshell news in the middle of the event. After the conclusion of the Epic Store exclusive trailer he announces that Sony has bought Insomniac Games creator of the Ratchet and Clank series and widely successful Spider-Man game.
