Nioh 2 is developed by Team Ninja from Koei Tecmo. The prodigious production team that bought us the reflex testing and skill mastery of the Dead or Alive and Ninja Gaiden series. Which was once lead by Tomonobu Itagaki creator of the Dead or Alive Series and known for revitalizing the Ninja Gaiden Series. Team Ninja has a pedigree of making games that are fun, fast, with intense gameplay that challenges your skills as gamer.

This design philosophy carried into the Nioh series. Koei Tecmo had a 10 minute gameplay demo at TGS 2019 that was straight destroying players at the show.

According to stats from Koei Tecmo’s twitter page only 5% of TGS attendees completed the 10 minute gameplay demo. Yes, people you did not read that incorrectly 5%. Damn, Nioh 2 was kicking ass and taking names and…I love it!

Here are the official numbers. On Koei Tecmo’s  twitter account it states about 3,500 attendees played the demo at TGS 2019 and roughly 175 attendees completed the demo. One hundred and seventy-five! Damn! That let’s players know what type of skill set you need to have to have average success in this game.

Nioh 2 comes out early 2020. If you want to test your skills against Nioh 2 brutal and fast gameplay an open beta kicks off this weekend.

Below is the gameplay demo of Nioh 2 from PlayStation Access.

What do you think about only 5% of players being able to beat a 10 minute gameplay demo? Have you played the first Nioh game? If so what are your thoughts on the game. Let me know in the comments below.
