F1 is an Apple Original Film featuring Brad Pitt as a former driver who returns to the Formula 1 circuit after a horrific crash. Pitt stars alongside Damson Idris, who plays his teammate on the fictional APXGP race team. This movie is being filmed during the actual F1 season on Grand Prix weekends as the team competes against the titans of the racetrack.
The star-studded cast also includes Kerry Condon, Javier Bardem, Tobias Menzies, Sarah Niles, Kim Bodnia, and Samson Kayo. F1 is directed by Joseph Kosinski, known for his masterful work on Top Gun: Maverick. The film is produced by Kosinski, Jerry Bruckheimer, and Chad Oman, with production assistance from Brad Pitt, Dede Gardner, and Jeremy Kleiner through Plan B Entertainment. Additionally, Lewis Hamilton lends his expertise under his Dawn Apollo Films banner.
This film was made in collaboration with Formula 1 and the F1 community, including 10 F1 teams and their drivers, FIA, and race promotions. The new F1 tale featuring Brad Pitt will be in theaters in the summer of 2025.
