Techland Unveils Dying Light: The Beast at Opening Night Live
During Opening Night Live, Geoff Keighley officially revealed Techland’s latest title: Dying Light: The Beast. This new installment in the Dying Light series features the return of fan-favorite Kyle Crane, who will once again take center stage as the protagonist. The game promises an expansive open world and approximately 20 hours of gameplay.
According to a press release, The Beast is a standalone game set in the post-apocalyptic region of Castor Woods. Players assume the role of Kyle Crane, voiced once more by Roger Craig Smith. After being held captive and subjected to experiments for 13 years, Crane escapes and seeks revenge on those responsible for his imprisonment. The titular “beast” is a colossal monster that roams the woods, but Crane, now infused with zombie DNA due to the experiments, possesses “beast-like powers” that he can use to confront this monstrous foe. The game raises the intriguing question: who is truly the beast?
