Seeking to Honor the Legendary MP5 Platform with Authentic Design and Performance
At SHOT Show 2025, Century Arms announced three exciting new additions to their AP series: the AP5-SD, AP51, and AP53. Building on the success of the AP5 and AP5-P platforms launched in 2022, these new models expand the company’s offerings while staying true to the legendary MP5 platform. Century Arms has once again partnered with MKE, the only HK-licensed manufacturer of roller-delayed blowback firearms, to deliver some of the most authentic MP5 clones on the market.
These firearms aim to appeal to both collectors and enthusiasts, combining iconic designs from the 1970s with modern engineering.

Century Arms is proud to introduce three new additions to the AP (Apparatus Pistol) series from MKE. Based on the success of the AP5 and AP5-P platforms launched in 2022, Century Arms and MKE identified the overwhelming demand to the US consumer for other dynamic offerings like the AP5-SD, AP51 and AP53.
These roller delayed blowback firearms based and built off of the original and historic designs from the 1970’s is a must have product for everyone your avid range warriors to the collectors. Adopted for use across the globe for over 50 years, few firearms have held the level of lore that this platform has.

AP5-SD
The AP5-SD is chambered in 9mm, features a 5.75-inch cold hammer-forged barrel, and is suppressor-ready with 1/2×28 thread and a 3-lug adapter. The firearm comes with a removable faux suppressor, MP5 Navy-style grip, and a claw-mounted 1913 Picatinny rail.

AP51
Modeled after the iconic HK51 PDW, the AP51 is chambered in 7.62×51mm and features a 20-round G3-patterned polymer magazine. It includes a Navy-style assembly, MP5-compatible wide handguard, standard G3 trigger, and a birdcage-style flash hider.
