Walton Goggins Teases a Bigger and Better Fallout Season 2
Fans of Fallout will have to wait a bit longer before returning to the post-apocalyptic wasteland, but according to Walton Goggins, Season 2 is shaping up to be even more ambitious than the first.
Speaking at the premiere of The White Lotus Season 3, Goggins shared an exciting update on Fallout’s highly anticipated second season.
“We’re in the middle of filming it right now, we’ve been at it since November, and I can tell you that I thought Season 1 was extraordinary. This blows it out of the water,” Goggins said. “What these writers have done and the artisans that have come together to tell this story—it’s really gonna be something. I can’t wait for people to see it. We’re working really hard to make that happen.”
A New Filming Location and Production Delays
Following its massive success, Fallout relocated filming from New York to Los Angeles, taking advantage of a $25 million tax credit. However, production briefly halted due to California wildfires, causing a delay in filming.
Based on Bethesda Game Studios’ beloved video game franchise, Fallout follows survivors emerging from luxury vault shelters over 200 years after a nuclear apocalypse, forced to navigate a dangerous, retrofuturistic wasteland.
Expanding the Fallout Universe
Executive producers Jonathan Nolan, Lisa Joy, Geneva Robertson-Dworet, and Graham Wagner return for Season 2, along with a stellar cast led by Walton Goggins, Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, Kyle MacLachlan, Moisés Arias, Sarita Choudhury, Michael Emerson, Leslie Uggams, Frances Turner, Dave Register, Zach Cherry, Johnny Pemberton, Rodrigo Luzzi, Annabel O’Hagan, and Xelia Mendes-Jones.
Additionally, Macaulay Culkin is set to join the cast, with Deadline exclusively confirming his involvement in November.
When Will Fallout Season 2 Release?
While no official release date has been announced, Fallout Season 2 is well into production, and with Goggins hyping it up as even bigger and better, fans have plenty to look forward to.
