Driven Arms and Front of Rifles Introduce the DRVN 5.56 Suppressor
Driven Arms Company has built a reputation within the AR-15 space for thoughtful, shooter-driven accessories: magwells, pistol grips, handstops, foregrips, and components designed with real world end users in mind. Front of Rifle Systems, based in Indiana, approaches the platform from a different angle, focusing on hard-use suppressors and the practical realities of running them on duty-grade and personal builds.
On Friday, the two companies formally joined forces with the release of the DRVN 5.56, a suppressor developed with performance, durability, and sustained use as its primary design objectives.
The DRVN 5.56 is not positioned as a lightweight or boutique option. Instead, it is built around the demands of hard firing schedules and the realities of modern semi-auto and full-auto use.
Materials and Construction

The DRVN 5.56 is constructed from Inconel 718, a nickel-based superalloy selected for its ability to withstand extreme temperatures and prolonged thermal stress. Unlike titanium suppressors, which can experience material creep and structural degradation under excessive heat, Inconel 718 maintains its integrity under sustained firing schedules.
To further manage heat, the suppressor features linear external fluting along the body. This surfacing increases surface area and promotes ambient airflow, aiding in heat dissipation and reducing thermal saturation during extended use.
The DRVN 5.56 also utilizes a universal HUB mounting interface, allowing end users to select their preferred muzzle device and mounting system without being locked into a proprietary ecosystem.
Internal Design and Gas Management
Internally, the DRVN 5.56 employs PFM baffle geometry, a design approach focused on minimizing back pressure while maintaining effective sound suppression. This balance is critical for users running gas-sensitive rifles or seeking to reduce blowback without sacrificing overall performance.
Within the blast chamber and early baffle stack, Driven Arms and Front of Rifles incorporate a Turbulence Induction Array (TIA). This system disrupts and redirects high-pressure gases early in the flow path, stabilizing gas movement regardless of the muzzle device selected by the end user. The goal is consistent performance across a wide range of host setups.
