Wraith MetalWorks Introduces a Modular Approach to Suppressor Design
What if one suppressor system could adapt to multiple firearms instead of forcing shooters to choose a fixed configuration for each application? That is the idea behind Wraith MetalWorks and its modular approach to suppressor design.
The Georgia-based company uses interchangeable baffles and configurable components to give users greater flexibility when building a suppressor for different firearms and intended uses. I had the opportunity to speak with the Wraith team at CanCon: West, where its approach to modularity caught my attention.
A Modular Suppressor Ecosystem

Wraith MetalWorks takes a different approach from the traditional fixed-configuration suppressor. Its modular ecosystem is designed to give users greater control over a suppressor’s configuration, allowing them to tailor the system around their firearms and intended applications.
Users can select different lengths, baffle stacks, and component materials to customize their setups. Wraith also offers preconfigured options for consumers who prefer a ready-to-use system rather than selecting individual components.
The idea is to provide flexibility within a single ecosystem, giving consumers more choices when configuring their suppressors for different platforms and performance priorities.
The Components of the System
Wraith’s suppressors are built around several key components: a base tube, extensions, baffles and baffle stacks, and an end cap. Each serves a different purpose within the overall design.
Base Tube
The base tube establishes the suppressor’s core architecture. Its internal channels, chambers, and vanes are designed to influence how gas moves through the system. This section also serves a role similar to the blast chamber in a conventional suppressor, while providing the foundation for the modular components.
The base tube incorporates a HUB-compatible mounting interface, allowing users to pair the suppressor with compatible mounting solutions.

Extensions
Extensions complete the suppressor’s body and accommodate the selected baffle stack. They allow users to configure the system’s overall length around their chosen components.
Baffles and Baffle Stacks

Each Wraith baffle is designed to serve a specific function within the suppressor. Users can select a preconfigured stack or choose individual baffles to create a configuration tailored to their intended application.
Wraith offers different approaches to gas management and suppression, including configurations intended to prioritize reduced back pressure, hybrid performance characteristics, or a more conventional, closed-system design. The actual results will depend on the complete configuration and host firearm.
The company identifies three primary baffle-stack options:
SOCOM: Designed to prioritize gas control.
Vane Alpha: Designed for performance across multiple firearm platforms.
Florida Man: Designed to prioritize sound suppression.
These options give users a starting point for selecting a configuration, rather than requiring every customer to build a stack from individual components.
Hyper Alloy Baffle Materials
Wraith also offers a choice of proprietary Hyper Alloy materials for its baffles. According to the company, users can select between two material options based on their priorities.
Wr-Ti-27: Intended for lightweight construction and durability.
Wr-Ni-21: Intended to prioritize durability and thermal resistance during sustained firing.
End Cap
The end cap secures the system and helps accommodate caliber-specific configurations. Wraith also offers vented and closed end-cap options, allowing users to further tailor the system’s gas-flow characteristics.
Taken together, these components form the foundation of Wraith’s modular approach: a configurable suppressor system that offers choices in length, internal components, materials, and gas management.
Wraith’s Suppressor Models
Wraith offers three primary suppressor models: the Sentinel, Ambush, and Raider. Each is designed around a different balance of size, weight, and intended use, while retaining compatibility with the company’s modular ecosystem.
Sentinel

The Sentinel is the flagship model in Wraith’s lineup. It has the largest body diameter of the three models, measuring 1.88 inches, and can be configured in lengths ranging from 7.7 to 10.7 inches in length.
The Sentinel accepts user-configured baffle stacks and is available with a prebuilt stack or a configuration selected by the customer. It is designed for your heavier calibers such as .300 BlK, 8.6 BLK, .308 WIN, and .300 WIN MAG and uses a HUB-compatible mounting interface.
Wraith positions the Sentinel for applications where suppression is a priority, including precision and hunting rifles, AR platforms, designated marksman rifle (DMR) setups, and firearms chambered in high-pressure cartridges.
Ambush

The Ambush is Wraith’s general-purpose option, designed to balance suppression, size, and weight. Its body diameter measures 1.575 inches, and its configurable length ranges from 5.8 to 7.6 inches.
The Ambush supports custom baffle stacks, as well as the company’s preconfigured SOCOM and Vane Alpha options. It is available in the company’s listed major caliber options and features a HUB-compatible mounting interface.
Wraith positions the Ambush as a versatile option for carbines, short-barreled rifles (SBRs), pistol-caliber carbines (PCCs), and pistols. Its design is intended for shooters seeking a balance of performance, gas management, and adaptability across multiple platforms.
Raider

The Raider is the most compact and lightweight model in Wraith’s lineup. It has a body diameter of 1.456 inches and can be configured in lengths ranging from 5.7 to 8.4 inches. Its listed weight ranges from 8.3 to 14.6 ounces, depending on configuration.
The Raider is compatible with the SOCOM and Vane Alpha baffle stacks. Wraith positions it for pistols, PCCs, and compact rifles, with an emphasis on keeping the overall setup lightweight and maneuverable.
For shooters who prioritize a smaller footprint, the Raider offers an alternative to the larger Sentinel and Ambush models within the same ecosystem.
Wraith Metalworks Deployment Kits
Wraith Metalworks’ motto for its deployment kits is “One Kit—Countless Builds.” These kits are designed as an all-in-one solution for configuring dedicated suppressor setups across multiple firearm builds.
The deployment kit serves as a modular platform, allowing you to customize and refine your suppressors to suit different applications. By selecting different calibers and baffle stack configurations, you can create suppressor builds tailored to your needs. However, be mindful of caliber compatibility when switching configurations to avoid damaging the baffles or suppressor. This is Wraith’s modular ecosystem in action, showcasing its full potential.
Wraith Metalworks offers five different deployment kits. At CanCon, the company showcased its Ultimate Deployment Kit. Below is a breakdown of all five deployment kits available from Wraith Metalworks.

The Bottom line
Wraith MetalWorks is taking a different approach to suppressor design by treating the suppressor as a configurable system rather than a single, fixed product. Its interchangeable baffles, adjustable configurations, material choices, and deployment kits give consumers several ways to tailor their setups to different firearms and priorities.
The appeal is straightforward: instead of purchasing a separate, purpose-built suppressor for every application, consumers have the option to build around a shared ecosystem. For shooters who own multiple firearms and enjoy refining their equipment, that flexibility could be a significant advantage. The deployment kits also offer a structured way to explore the system without having to select every component individually.
However, flexibility alone does not establish value. The system’s complexity means consumers need to understand compatibility, configuration requirements, and the limitations of each component before investing in it. The deployment kits also represent a substantial financial commitment, particularly at the higher end of the lineup.
That leaves an important question: how much practical benefit does Wraith’s modular approach provide over conventional suppressors? The answer ultimately depends on how well its configurations perform in real-world use, how reliably the components hold up over time, and whether the flexibility justifies the added cost and complexity.
My time speaking with the Wraith team at CanCon: West left me interested in what the company is trying to accomplish. Its modular ecosystem offers a compelling concept, particularly for consumers who want more control over their equipment. The next step is demonstrating that this flexibility translates into measurable benefits for the end user.
Wraith has my attention. Now, the system needs to prove its value where it matters most: in performance, durability, and long-term ownership.
