It appears that the U.S. Army is dealing with another case of missing equipment, this time involving 31 SIG M17 pistols from Fort Moore (formerly Fort Benning) in Georgia.
Recently, the United States Special Operations Command awarded Speer Ammunition a three-year ammo contract. Speer is set to supply up to a maximum of 8.5 million rounds of their Gold Dot G2 ammunition, which was the highest-performing ammunition in the FBI’s testing protocol.

Radical Defense is a Texas-based firearms manufacturer known for making AR-15s and 3-D printed suppressors. The company proudly announces its newest suppressor, the General Purpose Suppressor, or GPS for short. The GPS is a 3-D printed can that is fully auto-rated and is designed for calibers ranging from 7.62 to 8.6mm. The suppressor is made from Haynes 282, a nickel-based alloy, and weighs in at 23.5 oz.
Recently, the U.S. Department Of Defense awarded Saab an ammunition contract for AT4 anti-armor systems and Carl Gustaf Multi-purpose Anti-armor Anti-personnel Weapon System, also known as MAAWS. The new contract is worth $105 million. U.S. Army Special Forces and U.S. Marine Corps use these weapon systems and ammunition.
A couple of weeks ago, the UK Ministry of Defence adopted the KAC KS-1 as the new service rifle for Ranger Battalions and Royal Marines. This week, the UK government is adopting another American-made rifle. The UK Ministry of Defence selects Lewis Machine & Tool’s AR-10 as the Royal Marines new DMR platform. The LMT AR-10 is chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor, featuring a Leupold Mark 5 HD scope with a HUXWRX 7.62 flow-through suppressor.
Earlier this week, Beretta Defense Technologies (BDT) unveiled their new rifle, the New Assault Rifle Platform, or NARP. Beretta’s new combat rifle features a short-stroke gas piston system and is chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO. The NARP has been designed to be the successor to Beretta’s ARX series of rifles, which was introduced back in 2008.
