Ruger Expands 10/22 Lineup with New Carbon Fiber Models for 2026
Ruger continues to evolve one of the most iconic rifles in American history with the expansion of its 10/22 lineup, this time introducing two new carbon fiber options for 2026.
Since its debut in 1964, the 10/22 has cemented itself as a cornerstone of firearm culture. For many, it was the first rifle they ever shot. Passed down from generation to generation, from father to son. It’s a platform tied to nostalgia, built on simplicity, reliability, and timeless design. Over the past six decades, Ruger has produced countless variants of the 10/22, so many that keeping track has become a challenge in itself. Few firearms have achieved this level of longevity and cultural relevance.
Now, Ruger is pushing the platform forward once again.
Modern Materials, Classic Platform
For 2026, Ruger introduces two new 10/22 models: a standard configuration and a takedown variant. This is the first time this technology has been applied to a 10/22 takedown rifle from Ruger.
Both models are built around 16.1” cold hammer-forged barrels in carbon fiber wrapped sleeves, feature 1/2×28 threaded muzzles, and ship with Ruger’s proven 10-round rotary magazine.
The standard model is outfitted with a Magpul MOE X-22 stock, finished in a textured white speckle black. The takedown variant pairs its carbon fiber-wrapped barrel with Magpul’s Hunter X-22 Backpacker stock, offering enhanced portability and storage in the same distinctive finish.
Below are the full feature list for the standard and takedown models of the carbon fiber models directly from Ruger.
