Last night, I was browsing Geissele’s website to see what my next potential purchase would be. When I went to the navigation bar and I noticed a new section called Special Agent. I clicked on the link and found out that Geissele is now selling products that used to fulfill government contracts, specifically the FBI.
Last night, I was browsing Geissele’s website to see what my next potential purchase would be. When I went to the navigation bar and I noticed a new section called Special Agent. I clicked on the link and found out that Geissele is now selling products that are used to fulfill government contracts, specifically the FBI.
Geissele is offering as of right now three products on their Special Agent lineup. The Government Charging Handle, 10” Super Modular Rail MK4 Federal, along with the Super Semi-Automatic trigger.
Geissele Government Charging Handle
First up, is the Government Charging Handle. The charging handle is essentially Geissele’s Airborne Charging handle. That comes with shorter latches and rounded edges to prevent snagging. The Government Charging handle comes in three different colors: Desert Dirt Color (DDC), OD Green, and Black.
Here’s what Geissele has to say about their new charging handle:
The Government Charging Handle is made from aircraft grade 7075-T6 aluminum and finished in Type-3 Hardcoat anodize and are available in Black or DDC. Just like all our charging handles, its precision machined at our state of the art facility in North Wales, PA for a perfect fit and smooth operation.
This is the same charging handle used to fulfill contracts for the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), it features handles that are slightly smaller and more rounded than our Airborne Charging Handle, further reducing the chances of snagging on gear during high-energy and high-tension operations.
10′ Super Modular Rail MK4 Federal
Next, is the 10’ Super Modular Rail MK4 Federal. This is the same Geissele MK4 rail we know and love. With the M-Lok cuts on the rail at 3,6,9 along with the Picatinny in the front for mounting accessories. The new Geissele MK4 Federal rail comes in four different colors: DDC, OD Green, Black, and Grey.
Below is Geissele’s description of their new 10’ Super Modular Rail MK4 Federal.
This is the same rail used to fullfill contracts for the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). It’s strength, modularity and M-Lok compatibility gives users the capabilities needed to successfully complete the mission at hand.
These rails are purpose-built and feature integrated M1913 picatinny rail sections at the fore of the rail in the 3, 6 and 9 o’clock positions. The Picatinny rail on the bottom of the rail, or the 6 o’clock position, is elongated in this version to more comfortably accommodate accessories. Maximum venting for heat dissipation also dramatically reduces the rails overall weight, while maintaining its same strong and rigid platform. The MK4 M-LOK rail features M-LOK slots at the 3, 6 and 9 o’clock positions as well as the upper 45° quadrants. This allows the user to keep the weight on the rail system down, while keeping the modularity and versatility to attach accessories as necessary.
Geissele Super Semi-Automatic Trigger
Finally, is Geissele’s Super Semi-Automatic Trigger (SSA). The SSA is designed for close quarters and mid range combat scenarios. The SSA is a two-stage trigger with a crisp and clean break. The SSA trigger I used by law enforcement and military agencies around the world.
Here is Geissele’s description of their Super Semi-Automatic Trigger.
The Geissele Super Semi-Automatic (SSA®) trigger is a semi-automatic only version of Geissele Automatics’s Super Select-Fire trigger. The SSA is a non-adjustable combat trigger that is a precision two-stage trigger and allows precise and accurate trigger control. The SSA’s two-stage design allows the trigger to be light enough for accurate and precise shots, but forgiving enough for CQB. The SSA is safety certified by Crane Naval Surface Warfare Center. It is recommended for demanding applications such as Law Enforcement use, Close Quarters Battle (CQB) and mid-range carbine work.
Currently, Geissele is only offering these products apart of their Special Agent lineup. The prices are a little more expensive on the SSA trigger and the Super Modular Rail MK4 Federal. The SSA trigger retails at $240, where the original retails at $165. The new MK4 Federal rail retails at $350 and the original retails at $250. That $250 price tag is for the 9.5 inch MK4 rail for comparison purposes. All in all for Geissele’s new Special Agent lineup you will be spending a little more.
What do you think about Geissele’s new Special Agent products? Would you buy anything from the new lineup? Let me know in the comments below.
