Recently, Dan Wesson announced a new series into its 1911 lineup with the Vigil Series. The new Vigil Series uses a forged aluminum frame and a stainless steel slide which accounts for an six ounce reduction in weight. The Vigil Series
The new Vigil series features: an aluminum frame with a stainless steel slide, tritium front sight with a serrated tactical rear sight. The front and rear back strap receive aggressive checkering with a rounded butt to help aid in conceal carrying. Other features include undercut trigger guards, carry bevel treatment, hand polished flats, a 3.5-5 lbs trigger pull, and two magazines.
Dan Wesson offers the Vigil Series in five different configurations. The Vigil comes in 9mm or . 45 ACP, full-size or commander, and suppressor ready configurations. The Vigil full-size and commander have the same features. The Commander just comes with a 4.25 inch barrel.
The CCO Vigil combines sub-compact officer frame with a commander slide. The CCO Vigil was designed for concealed carry person in mind.
All Vigil models are available in 9mm or .45 ACP. The Dan Wesson Vigil starts at $1,298 for 9mm and .45 ACP.

Now, a little bit about me. I served six years in the Marines Corps as an 0311. I was in 2nd BN 4th Marines, 5th Marine Reg, 1st Mar Div. I was in Golf Company while in 2/4. I was deployed twice during my time in. I did one deployment to Afghanistan and my second was on apart of 31st MEU. I departed the military in September of 2015. I currently work as an RSO at a local range in Vegas.
