Recently, Australian knife maker Halfbreed Blades introduced their new Medium Clearance Knife, also known as the MCK-02. The new knives were designed to be a general purpose multi-duty knife designed for outdoorsmen, hunters, and active duty military.
The Halfbreed MCK-02 is a one-piece full tang knife made from Austrian 6.5 Bohler K110 (D2) steel. The knives are Teflon coated and available in Black, Dark Earth, and Ranger Green, which helps in the reduction glare and to protect the blade from corrosion. The MCK-02 also uses a modified drop point, a recurved primary cutting edge for added strength. The handle of the knives are made from G-10 and contoured to fit the hand easily. At the very end of the knife is a hammer designed to break glass. All MCK-02 blades are outfitted with Kydex sheath.
