The blood of thousands of Marines was spilled upon the sand and leaked into the seas during the thirty-six day battle for Iwo Jima. Over 19,000 marines lost their lives in effort to secure the island of Iwo Jima for the U.S. Military.

Recently, IWI official announced the introduction of their AR platform rifle, the ARAD. IWI describes the ARAD as highly reliable and modular battle rifle. The ARAD was designed for infantry use, special forces, and law enforcement officers. Last week, the U.S. Army released the finalist for the Next Generation Squad Weapon Program. The Army was fielding prototype rifle and automatic rifle to replace the M-16. Three companies were chosen to advance with their prototype rifles. That was Sig Sauer, General Dynamics, and AAI/Textron Systems.
