During the month of August the NSSF is promoting the +One Pledge. The +One Pledge is a pledge that you will introduce one new shooter to the fun and joy of the shooting sports. The NSSF has a goal to introduce 100,000 new shooters to sports shooting throughout the U.S.

If you have a friend or family member who wants to learn more about shooting, now is a perfect time to introduce them to the shooting sports.

The NSSF will also be doing gearbox giveaways. The companies participating in the giveaways are FN America, Glock, Sig Sauer, Accu-Tac, Mossberg, Aguila Ammunition, and other notable companies throughout the industry.

The gearboxes for these giveaways are fully loaded with weapons and gear. Only one winner per gearbox so submit you entry! Remember their can only be one!

National Sports Shooting Month is here to celebrate something we all have a passion for…shooting. We are blessed in this country with ability to own and possess firearms for recreation, hunting, competition, and security. This a right most other people don’t have in other countries around the world. It is our job to enjoy shooting and make sure the industry succeeds into the future. Take the time to introduce a new shooter to our passions. Take a moment to education someone on the facts about firearms and firearm ownership. It is up to us within the industry to change the culture perception on firearms.

Do you plan on doing some shooting during National Sports Shooting Month? How often do you go shooting? Who is one person you would like to introduce to shooting? Let me know in the comments below.
