Yesterday, Ubisoft released information on Ghost Recon: Breakpoint year one road map. It unfolds a lot like The Division 2 year one road map with free and paid for DLC offerings. The road map content includes new story episodes, faction missions, classes, raids, and limited timed events.
Breakpoint will launch with its first main story episode titled “Operation Greenstone”, which will run through January 2020. At that time Ubisoft is planning to release its first raid. The raid will be located on a volcanic island within Breakpoint. A live event where you have to stop the Terminator, introduction of the engineer class, new story missions, and PvP updates round off the content.
Everyone will get access to this content. It’s just that year 1 pass owners will be able to unlock the engineer class without the use of skill points and have it a week early. The live event will finish at the end of first episode of cotent and will be available later. Just without the rewards that come with it.
The second episode would kick of in February, with a new adventure called “Deep State”. This content is set to expand on the Breakpoint storyline. There is a catch with the Deep State mission. It is only free to play for the first hour. After that you will have to pay for the year 1 pass to finish the content. Or play with a friend who has paid for the year 1 pass. (That’s a bitch move on your part Ubisoft. Bitch move!)
There will also be a raid update, new special live event, new class introduction, and more faction missions for all players.
The final episode is due out in June. It will play out like the other episode content. You will get a new adventure titled Transcendence, new missions, raid, live event, factions, and a new class.
You will be able to get a lot of content without the year 1 pass but not all. Below is what the year 1 pass nets you.
• Access to the two Year 1 adventures and their rewards (non-owners can be invited to play the entire mission)
• One-week early access to the three new classes and instant unlock
• Siren’s Call Mission coming day one
• Special Operation Forces pack, which includes:
• Scorpio Scout | Quiet Blueprint
• 1400 Skell Credits to craft the blueprint once at • Maria’s shop or a bivouac
• Covered ACH
• Crye G3 Combat Pants
• Cross Draw Vest
Currencies in Ghost Recon Breakpoint
Skell Credits are Breakpoint’s primary currency, earned by playing the game or by purchasing them with Ghost Coins, the premium currency. Ghost Coins can also be used to buy cosmetic items, crafting materials, boosts and instant blueprint and attachment unlocks. Currency breakdown per PC Gamer.
Breakpoints Battle Pass System
Because it’s 2019, Breakpoint is getting a battle pass called the Battle Rewards System. Playing PvP or faction missions will net everyone Battle Points that will contribute towards the pass, unlocking exclusive rewards. Each episode will have two phases with 50 items each, and all players will be able to unlock them. Boosters will be sold to speed up progress, but you can save your money and just grind. Battle Pass breakdown is also from PC Gamer
Breakpoint hits store shelves and digital download October 4th.
