The Taurus T4 rifle is only currently available in Brazil. The T4 is a clone of the M4 service rifle here in the U.S. Taurus currently only makes handguns and revolvers for the U.S. Market.
Below is the press release from Taurus on the presentation of T4 rifles to Bainbridge Public Safety Department and Decatur County Sheriff.
Taurus®, which recently opened its new operations facility in Bainbridge Georgia, delivered the City of Bainbridge Public Safety Department and the Decatur County Sheriff’s Department, with 37 Taurus T4 defense rifles to assist in protecting the community.
Taurus CEO David Blenker transferred the T4 rifles to City of Bainbridge Public Safety Department Director Jerry Carter and Captain David Cutchin as well as the Decatur County Sheriff’s Office to Captain Brad Lambert, Deputy Victor Strickland and John Presilla. These special-purpose law enforcement rifles will be deployed for tactical and emergency response operations by the City and Sheriff department.
“As new members of the Bainbridge community,” said David Blenker, “and with Taurus being a key manufacturer in the personal and professional defense segments, supplying the City of Bainbridge Public Safety Department and the Decatur County Sheriff’s Office with specialized tools needed to protect the community and its citizens seemed obvious. Law enforcement professionals here and around the country put their lives on the line every day, and it is an honor for us to provide our local defenders with this contribution.”
