Vortex design philosophy behind the Razor HD Gen III, was to create a tactically versatile riflescope for diverse tactical applications. The motto for the new Razor is “everything is in range”, with is optic it will be. The Razor HD Gen III allows the shooter to start in a close quarters environment, move to a mid-range engagement, or reach out at and engage a target at distance. Vortex designed the Razor HD Gen III with military, law enforcement, competitive shooters, and discerning shooters in mind.
The Razor HD Gen III body is built on a 34mm aircraft-grade aluminum tube. The new Razor is lightweight. Weighing about the same as a 1-6x Vortex optic. Low profile capped windage and elevation turrets that provides a sleek profile. The scope features 120 MOA/30 MRAD of total travel. Zero-resttable turrets offer 25 MOA/10 RAD of adjustment per revolution. The o-ring was sealed and purged with argon gas for waterproof and fog proof performance from the optic.
Optically, Razor has been loaded to the brim with features. Let’s break this down.
First, you have the HD optical system. This system allows for excellent visual fidelity. Vortex optimized certain elements of the glass to create excellent visual fidelity. Along with edge-to-edge sharpness and light transmission.
Next, is the XR fully multi-coated lenses, APO System, and optically index lenses. The XR coating system, APO system and index systems combine to create an optic with increased light transmission, anti-glare glass, with optimized color and clarity. Allowing the user to see the world through your scope clearly and bright.

The Razor HD Gen III gives users the ability to go from close quarter to mid-range and finally to a marksmanship role without hesitation. Giving users the ability to be a problem for any distance. As, Vortex says, “Everything is in range.”
