Ghost Mountain Group Introduces G.M.C.S. for the Ruger American Gen II

Ghost Mountain Group seeks to expand beyond soft goods and accessories with the release of its first bolt-action chassis system, the Ghost Mountain Chassis System (G.M.C.S.).

Designed specifically for the Ruger American Gen II, the G.M.C.S. aims to deliver premium chassis experience at a more accessible price point, targeting shooters who want enhanced performance without stepping into high-end pricing tiers.

Built for Performance and Modularity

At its core, the G.M.C.S. focuses on balancing weight, rigidity, and adaptability. The chassis is engineered to provide a tight, consistent fit, helping improve accuracy while maintaining a lightweight profile suited for backcountry use and hunting applications.

A standout feature is the fully enclosed forend, which incorporates M-LOK compatibility. This allows users to mount accessories such as clip-on optics or laser aiming modules (LAMs) while maintaining structural integrity across the handguard.

Ghost Mountain Group designed the G.M.C.S. with AR-pattern compatibility in mind, allowing users to integrate:

• AR-style magazines

• AR grips (non-beavertail compatible)

• Buffer tubes

• Folding stock adapters

This approach gives users the flexibility to customize their rifle setup using widely available components, tailoring the system to their specific needs and budget.

Below is the  product description for the G.M.C.S. provided by Ghost Mountain Group.

Product Description

The Ruger American has plenty of chassis options, so why did I make this one? There’s options in hunting, ultra light weight, competition, etc.. but nothing good has existed in the tactical vein until now.

The goal with this chassis system is to bring function and features at an affordable price to the masses that are typically only seen in extremely high end rifles. The chassis adds rigidity and a tight fit to help improve accuracy, a little weight to help reduce recoil, features a fully enclosed forend with mlok to run clip-ons, uses with AR mags, uses AR grips (no beaver tail), buffer tube threads so you can run a wide variety of stocks and folding adapters, and so much more.

These are compatible with any Ruger American Gen II that takes AR mags (gen 1 compatibility is currently being checked). Included is the main chassis body, handguard, and top rail. Grip, stock, and everything else is up to you so you can go as big or as affordable as you want. Offered with a 10” or 13.5” handguard. The 10” version weighs 31.2 oz and the 13.5” version weighs 36.5oz.
