The Geissele ICON rifle is a way the company wishes to honor and serve memorial to important dates to our nations history and within their company. The ICON is a one-time build done by Geissele Automatics. Their will never be another rifle like it, making it truly an icon in its own right. Geissele sees the ICON rifles as a opportunity to do some good and to give back to the community. Every month they are looking to host a free giveaway for the one of a kind ICON rifle. With every build of an ICON rifle Geissele will produce a patch. That money made form the sale of that patch will go to a charity of the company’s choosing.

September ICON rifle is “Freedom’s Remembrance”. This rifle seeks to honor the lives of the men, women, and first responders who lost their lives during 9/11. The proceeds of the patch from this month will go to Tuesday’s Children. Tuesday’s Children provides support to families that lost loved ones on 9/11.

The Geissele ICON Rifle for September – “Freedom’s Remembrance” – is not available for purchase. It is a one of a kind Rifle and the only way to obtain it is to be selected as the sole winner of this giveaway.

“Freedom’s Remembrance” features an in-house 16” CHF barrel chambered in 5.56mm, it utilizes our Geissele Length gas system and a Super Gas Block to ensure reliability under extreme conditions and heavy use. An SSA-E X with Lightning Bow® trigger, exclusive to the Super Duty line, offers the perfect balance between a classic M4 trigger bow and our Super Dynamic flat bow trigger. An Ultra Duty Lower Parts Kit completes the lower, with its Ultra Precision™ 5-Axis Trigger Guard, Maritime Bolt Catch, and proprietary Geissele designed pieces machined from Stainless Steel, which offers greater longevity on wear and tear parts.

A free floated, 15″ MK16 Super Modular Rail ensures that this Rifle can be configured to the user’s preference, while providing strength and rigidity for any mounted accessories needed for the task at hand. A carefully machined Geissele REBCG (Reliability Enhanced Bolt Carrier Group), with our own Nanoweapon technology, offers unmatched corrosion, wear and abrasion resistance. While a Super 42 Braided Wire Buffer Spring and Buffer Combo acts as a harmonic damper and energy absorber that increases the function and reliability of the AR-15 Platform.

Rounding out the package is a Geissele Super Precision 1-6 Optic, featuring the DMMR-1 reticle, mounted on a never-before-seen gray anodized Super Precision 30mm Optic Mount. This versatile combo ensures that this Rifle is viable from up close to long range distances.

All of these features come together in this truly unique build, honoring the victims and heroic sacrifices of September 11th.

Tuesday’s Children provides a lifetime of healing for families who have been forever changed by terrorism, military conflict or mass violence. Through a time-tested, long-term approach, Tuesday’s Children programming serves and supports our nation’s military Families of the Fallen; builds resilience and common bonds in communities worldwide recovering from tragedies; and keeps the promise to support all those impacted by Tuesday, September 11th.

The Story Behind Tuesday’s Children

Everybody remembers the time and place where they first learned about the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center. It was a day when time stood still and our nation came to a halt. Those of us lucky enough to be able to, huddled with family and friends in front of our televisions, trying to make sense of the horrific scene we saw that day. All the while, exceptionally courageous men and women – true heroes – rushed to ground zero, selflessly putting themselves into harm’s way in order to help those affected by these evil deeds. It was a truly unforgettable event for our nation.

The 9/11 attacks didn’t just characterize a generation, or define the decade; they changed our country and determined our path forward. On that day, the evil of the world came to our shores, claiming many innocent lives along the way. It also gave us resolve, and unity. We stood with our neighbors and proudly flew our flags. America had suffered, but she was also strong, and her people resilient.

The effect on the countless families and relatives of the souls lost in connection to this event cannot be quantified. Nearly two decades later, the sense of loss and grief is very real and strongly felt by those left behind. Healing and closure after such tragedy can be a lifelong process. This is why the work done by “Tuesday’s Children” is so crucial to our communities. Their dedication to long-term support for people affected by these terrible acts is a much needed service that deserves to be supported. The 9/11 attacks showed the world, once again, that the acts of evil people will be met with greater determination by the acts of good men and women, and that we, collectively as a Nation, would “Never Forget”.
