Rock Island Armory USA recently celebrated the opening of its new manufacturing facilities with a ribbon cutting ceremony early this month in Cedar City, Utah. The new facilities include a manufacturing, assembling, and finishing wings within the sprawling new compound. Rock Island already has put plans into motion for the future expansion of the location. Which will provide more jobs and opportunities for the growth of the company.
Part of this new planned growth is to employ up to 88 individuals with new high-paying jobs over the next 6 years. Employment opportunities include: Machine Operators, Cerkote Applicators, Range Personnel, and Firearm Assemblers. Rock Island is currently accepting applications for many of these positions at the new Cedar City facility. Many of the jobs available are offering on the job training for new employees. Currently, Rock Island has hired 15 employees for its new home in Utah and the company is looking to add more jobs in the near future.
Below, are excerpts from statements made by Lisa Tuason, President of RIA-USA and Martin Tuason, President and CEO of Armscor on the new facility in Cedar City, Utah.
“We are looking forward to expanding our American-based production in Cedar City,” said Lisa Tuason, President of RIA-USA and Senior Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations at Rock Island Armory. “The skilled workforce and welcoming community is a perfect fit. Our entry in Cedar City will provide unprecedented growth that could only happen in the great state of Utah.”
“We’re very proud to have begun manufacturing quality firearms on U.S. soil,” added Martin Tuason, President and CEO of parent company, Armscor. “This has been a long-time dream for our family, and we’re very excited that the time has come. We’re excited about what the future holds, and I think our customers will be, too.”

Now, a little bit about me. I served six years in the Marines Corps as an 0311. I was in 2nd BN 4th Marines, 5th Marine Reg, 1st Mar Div. I was in Golf Company while in 2/4. I was deployed twice during my time in. I did one deployment to Afghanistan and my second was on apart of 31st MEU. I departed the military in September of 2015. I currently work as an RSO at a local range in Vegas.
