Yesterday, the official reveal trailer for Nosferatu was unleashed upon an unsuspecting world. Nosferatu is Robert Eggers’ upcoming reimagining of the iconic 1922 German silent film of the same name. The movie tells the gothic story of obsession between a beautiful young woman and a terrifying vampire who is enthralled by her beauty, causing untold horror in his wake. In the first trailer from Robert Eggers and Focus Features we only catch frightening glimpses of Count Orlok who is played by Bill Skarsgård. Yet his presence is immensely felt and looms large over its characters and settings. Nosferatu is directed and written by Robert Eggers and is set to be released on Christmas Day.
