The King of Iron Fist Returns: Heihachi Mishima Returns To Tekken 8 As DLC Character

Tekken fans rejoice! The legendary Heihachi Mishima will be joining the roster in the fall of this year as the third DLC character for Tekken 8.
The news was announced at EVO 2024 and was a welcomed surprise as fans of the Tekken series had been eagerly awaiting his potential return since he didn’t make the original roster for Tekken 8. The King of The Iron Fist’s absence made sense within the context of the storyline, as Mishima met his demise at the end of Tekken 7. Despite his death, fans wanted more of Mishima in some form.
Heihachi will be the third DLC character of Tekken 8, following the additions of Eddy Gordo and Lidia Sobieska to the roster. Fans are excited about Heihachi’s return, but there is plenty more to look forward to, such as the first-ever planned DLC story content for the Tekken franchise. This new story content, called ‘The Dark Awakens,’ will continue the seemingly eternal struggle between the Kazama and Mishima families. This DLC will be available as a free update for all Tekken players in the future.
