Giancarlo Esposito’s Character In Captain America Brave: New World Revealed at SDCC 2024

Last month, we got our first glimpse of Giancarlo Esposito in his new role in Captain America: Brave New World. At San Diego Comic-Con, we received further details on his character and his role in the larger narrative of the story.
During the panel on Saturday, Marvel revealed that Esposito will play Seth Voelker, aka Sidewinder, the King of the Serpent Society. Initially, there was speculation about his role based on his appearance in the Captain America trailer, with no concrete clues or context provided. Now, it is confirmed that he will lead the nefarious Serpent Society.
Over a decade ago, Kevin Feige teased fans with the announcement of the third Captain America movie, initially introducing it as Captain America: Serpent Society. It was later revealed that this was a ruse and the official title was Captain America: Civil War.
Marvel Studios has already given us a glimpse of a more confident Captain America navigating the complex landscape of superhero duties and the messy political undertones that accompany heroism. We’ve also seen a preview of Thunderbolt Ross, aka Red Hulk, among other elements. Now, we must wait for a new trailer or the film’s release to see how the MCU evolves in this next phase.
