Cyberpunk 2077: The Board Game Shatters Crowdfunding Goal, Surges to $2.4 Million!

Cyberpunk 2077: The Board Game from CD Projekt Red and Go On Board has made a remarkable impact by reaching its crowdfunding goal in just 10 minutes and 4 seconds.

The campaign went live on the crowdfunding platform Gamefound at 6:00 a.m. PST, and by 6:10 a.m., it was fully funded. The initial goal was to raise $100,000, but as of this morning, the campaign has amassed an impressive $2.1 million, exceeding the target by over 2100%, with more than 13,000 backers. As of this afternoon it has reached over $2.4 million! All stretch goals for additional content have been met as well.

Developed in close collaboration between CD PROJEKT RED and Go On Board, this tabletop adaptation brings the Cyberpunk 2077 experience to life, featuring key characters from the video game, including V, Judy, Panam, and Jackie. The game offers 1–4 players the chance to explore a “what if?” scenario that diverges from the video game’s storyline, branching into a new narrative told through 13 distinct missions.

The Gamefound campaign, which attracted over 50,000 followers before its official launch, offers a first-day perk in the form of an alternate version miniature of V with mantis blades and a stretch goal that unlocks a Johnny Silverhand miniature and an additional game mode. Cyberpunk 2077 – The Board Game is scheduled for release in December 2025 in several languages.

The dynamic and fast-paced board game features a time pressure mechanic, recreating the intense experience of being a mercenary in Night City. With epic action moments and over 50 Street Stories, each playthrough promises to be diverse and unique. The game also includes an Afterlife Mission Generator, offering high replayability with numerous single missions for players to craft.
