Trijicon Expands the SRO Lineup With Long-Awaited Green Dot Model

Trijicon has officially expanded its popular SRO lineup with the long-awaited Green Dot version of the optic.

Originally unveiled at the 2019 NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits in Indianapolis, the Trijicon SRO (Specialized Reflex Optic) quickly became one of the most recognizable pistol optics on the market. Designed primarily for competition shooters, the optic distinguished itself with its oversized viewing window, top-loading battery design, and fast sight acquisition capabilities.

Now, nearly seven years later, Trijicon is finally bringing a green dot variant to the platform.

For many shooters, green reticles can offer improved visibility in bright environments and faster eye pickup depending on lighting conditions and visual preference. With pistol optics continuing to dominate both competition and defensive handgun markets, the addition of a green dot SRO was only a matter of time.

Below is the product information from Trijicon regarding the new Green Dot SRO.

Product Information

Faster Target Acquisition Starts with Faster Red Dot Acquisition.

The Trijicon SRO® (Specialized Reflex Optic) is designed with a maximized field of view and a clean, crisp red dot that deliver improved pistol accuracy in competitive-shooting and target-shooting applications. It’s also engineered with Trijicon’s legendary durability, so it can withstand abuse on and off the range. The wide field of view and clean, crisp dot make it easy for users to find and track the dot in both target and competitive shooting applications, helping improve shooting accuracy and speed. Every SRO features both manual and automatic LED brightness modes.

Conclusion

The SRO has remained one of the premier competition-oriented pistol optics thanks to its massive window, durable construction, and ease of use. While many shooters have requested a green dot option for years, Trijicon appears to have taken its time ensuring the platform maintained the same performance standards users expect from the SRO lineup.

With pistol optics becoming increasingly common across competition, duty, and concealed carry setups, the addition of a green reticle gives shooters another option tailored to individual visual preference and environmental conditions.

The new Green Dot SRO is available now and retails between $525 and $650 depending on configuration.
