This article will focus on the new handguns sold. On the Top 10 used handguns sold their is some diversity their we can explore in another article. Let’s go explore this Top 10.
Here is Gunbroker.com’s Top 10 Handguns purchased in 2020.
Top 10
1. Glock 19
2. Glock 43
3. Springfield Armory Hellcat
4. S&W M&P9 Shield
5. Ruger 5.7
6. SIG Sauer P365
7. Glock 44
8. SIG Sauer P320
9. Taurus G2
10. S&W M&P Bodyguard .380
When it comes down to it we all expected Glock to dominate this list. Three of the seven handguns are Glocks. The first two on the list are the G19 and G43. The Glock 19 is the go-to pistol when comes to versatility between home defense and conceal carry. It is that prefect size to accommodate both roles. I thought SIG Sauer would had more of a presence on the list besides the six and eight spots respectively, with P365 and P320. Smith and Wesson had a strong showing with their M&P lineup.
The surprise of the list was the Ruger 5.7. Five-Seven ammunition isn’t as easy to find during this Covid pandemic we are in. It was the most prevalent before, so to see that on this list is a surprise. The Ruger being 5th on the list was a surprise.
The shocker to me on the list was the Taurus G2. I understand it is a affordable firearm that falls under that $500 price tag but, I believe their is a better option. The Canik TP9 series is a option for a firearm under $500 price tag. It’s an over better experience. From build to trigger, to how it shoots, the TP9 is a superior product.
