Langdon Tactical has built a reputation for refining factory firearms, applying its knowledge and expertise to bring out their full potential. Now, the company is applying that philosophy to a pistol from Steyr. Meet the LTT Steyr ATD Compact.

What We Need to Know

Development Background: The Steyr ATD series represents a modern interpretation of the traditional single-action/double-action (SA/DA) pistol platform. The ATD Compact features an updated frame with redesigned decocking levers, enhanced front and rear slide serrations, optics-ready configurations, a modular trigger mechanism, and interchangeable beavertails.

Flat or Curved Match Trigger: Langdon Tactical refines the match-grade trigger by reducing overtravel and reset distance while polishing the internal components. These changes are intended to deliver a smoother, more consistent trigger pull.

Approximate Trigger Weights:

Single action: 3.75–4.25 pounds

Double action: 7.5–8.5 pounds

Optics-Ready Design: The LTT Steyr ATD Compact comes with mounting plates for the Noblex/Docter footprint. It can accommodate optics using the RMR, DeltaPoint Pro (DPP), C-More RTS2, Holosun K-series/RMSc, and Meopta footprints, depending on the appropriate mounting plate.

Included Accessories: Each Steyr ATD package includes two 18-round magazines, one 20-round magazine, a removable magwell, two additional hammer springs, and one additional recoil spring.

Available Models: The LTT Steyr is available in two configurations: the ATD Compact and the ATD Compact Comp.

The Bottom Line

Langdon Tactical continues to expand its approach to firearm refinement with the Steyr ATD Compact, bringing its trigger work and attention to detail to a modernized SA/DA pistol platform. With two configurations, an optics-ready design, and included accessories, the LTT Steyr ATD Compact offers prospective buyers a range of features in a compact package. Its success will ultimately depend on how well those refinements translate to real-world performance, reliability, and shootability. For now, the ATD Compact adds another option for shooters interested in a refined take on the traditional DA/SA pistol.
