Yesterday, Springfield Armory announced their new lineup of performance handguns the XD-M Elite Series. Springfield looked to designed a premium factory pistol with all the aftermarket parts a shooter would want. A shooter who was looking for better performance and ergonomics, improved accuracy, better trigger pull and reset, with increased reliability over a factory pistol. Springfield took all those elements and delivered the XD-M Elite series of pistols.
The XD-M Elite pistol features: improved front and rear slide serrations, ambidextrous slide stop, extended magazines, removable magwell, XD-M elite META trigger, and match grade barrel. The XD-M Elite pistols have barrel lengths of 3.8, 4.5, 4.5 (suppressor ready), and 5.25 inch barrel. Giving shooters the opportunity to choose what XD-M Elite fits their needs as a shooter.
The XD-M Elite was built for the competition shooter, law enforcement personnel or discerning shooter who is looking for all the upgrades from factory. Springfield Armory released a statement on their thoughts about the new XD-M Elite saying, “The new XD-M® Elite from Springfield Armory® represents the pinnacle of performance in factory striker-fired pistols. Taking the polymer platform that broke the mold and incorporating numerous upgrades and improvements, the XD-M® Elite redefines what you should expect from modern, striker-fired firearms.”
The XD-M Elite prices varies on which model you purchase. The XD-M Elite 3.8 inch barrel retails at $559 to $653 for the XD-M Elite 5.25 inch barrel. Which isn’t crazy price for a feature rich pistol from the factory.
