Now, L3 Harris Technologies and Leupold have been awarded an contract in partnership for the OTA by the US Army for the NGSW-FC also.
L3 Harris and Leupold have pervious experience with OTAs and military contracts. The companies worked together on the US Army’s XM25 CDTE Program.
L3 Harris & Leupold partnership and Vortex are required to submit a prototype optic to the Army with seven months for testing and evaluation. According to L3 Harris Twitter feed it is contracted to submit 115 production prototypes for the Next Generation Squad Fire Control program.

L3Harris Technologies (NYSE:LHX) has received a multi-million dollar contract from the U.S. Army to deliver 115 production prototypes for the Next Generation Squad Weapon Fire Control (NGSW-FC) targeting solution. The NGSW-FC will replace traditional direct view optics currently fielded by the Army.
The NGSW-FC provides an integrated approach to targeting by combining range-finding capability, ballistic computation and environmental sensors that increase the probability of accurate targeting while decreasing the time to engage a threat. The NGSW-FC will support many of the current and future weapon platforms used by the Army.

Now, a little bit about me. I served six years in the Marines Corps as an 0311. I was in 2nd BN 4th Marines, 5th Marine Reg, 1st Mar Div. I was in Golf Company while in 2/4. I was deployed twice during my time in. I did one deployment to Afghanistan and my second was on apart of 31st MEU. I departed the military in September of 2015. I currently work as an RSO at a local range in Vegas.
