On Monday, CZ announced the release of the CZ Shadow 2 Optic Ready(OR) pistol. The new Shadow 2 OR features a slide cut that has the ability to accept a wide range of handgun optics currently on the market.

The CZ Shadow 2 has been an absolute beast within the Production Class of USPSA. Now, the new CZ Shadow 2 OR fits within the rules of USPSA Carry Optics Division.

The CZ Shadow 2 OR still features CZ’s nasty and finely tuned SA/DA trigger mechanism. The slide and frame are hand-fitted together for accuracy, reliability, and longevity. This hand-fitting, coupled with a longer sight radius and an increase in weight, make the Shadow 2 extremely shootable, increasing speed and accuracy, according to CZ. The CZ engineers have kept the classic and well designed ergonomic grip from the CZ 75 series.

The Shadow 2 OR also features a nitride finish. The frame also adds a proprietary Polycoat develop by CZ for their service line of pistols. The all new Shadow 2 OR fits within the rules of USPSA and IPSC matches for competitors looking for a new Carry Optic pistol. The Shadow 2 OR is also an excellent choice for a defense handgun. The new CZ Shadow 2 OR comes in at an MSRP of $1,549.
