Rifle Dynamics and Thunder Ranch are teaming up again to bring another Limited Edition build brought to you by the legendary Clint Smith. Back in 2020, Rifle Dynamics and Thunder Ranch brought us the Thunder Ranch AK, built under the design specifications of Clint Smith. Now, the two companies have paired up again for the limited Edition Thunder Ranch RD700 pistol. This limited edition AK pistol is built to Smith’s design specifications and bears the Thunder Ranch logo with a Tigerstripe finish.
The new Thunder Ranch RD700 pistol is chambered in 7.62x39mm with a 12.5” barrel with a 1/2×28 thread pitch. The rifles use a tunable front/sight gas block design from Rifle Dynamics. The pistol can be ordered and fitted with one of 4 different muzzles devices: Forward Controls KeyMo Flash Hider, Huxwrx QD Flash Hider, Dead Air KeyMo Flash Hider or Muzzle Break, SilencerCo ASR Flash Hider or Muzzle Break. The Thunder Ranch AK pistol also comes with an RD custom SLR Rifleworks 9” M-LOK handguard.
The receiver of Thunder Ranch AK pistol can be fitted with Picatinny rail rear trunnion. From there it can be mounted with an SB Tactical SBA3 brace, Midwest Industries folding buffer tube, or a Gear Head Works Tailhook brace with a MI folding strut. The pistol grip comes with various options to include a TangoDown BG-AK, Magpul MOE or Magpul K2 AK grips. The Thunder Ranch AK pistol also comes standard with RD LBE Unlimited G3 AK Trigger. To wrap it all up the pistol comes with a standard safety lever. It can be upgraded to the Krebs Custom enhanced safety lever or a lever with Rifle Dynamics safety stud.

Now, a little bit about me. I served six years in the Marines Corps as an 0311. I was in 2nd BN 4th Marines, 5th Marine Reg, 1st Mar Div. I was in Golf Company while in 2/4. I was deployed twice during my time in. I did one deployment to Afghanistan and my second was on apart of 31st MEU. I departed the military in September of 2015. I currently work as an RSO at a local range in Vegas.
