Recently, Amazon unveiled a No Console Required Xbox Bundle, strategically coinciding with the launch of Amazon’s Fire Stick Xbox Cloud Gaming App. This app allows Xbox Game Pass users to stream games directly to their TVs without needing an Xbox console. The console-less bundle bears a striking resemblance to Google’s Stadia streaming gaming service.

The release of the new bundle also coincides with Amazon Prime Days, running from July 16th to July 17th. Available now on Amazon, the console-less bundle is highlighted by the listing stating, “Stream Xbox Games. No Console Required.” The product description emphasizes that it is “the only streaming media player with the Xbox app.”

The Amazon Fire Stick Xbox Cloud Gaming App is currently priced at $119.99, but for Prime Days, it is on sale for $78.99—a 34% discount. Amazon is also offering customers of the new bundle the choice of controller color, with options including white, blue, and green Xbox controllers.

This move underscores Microsoft’s significant push into cloud gaming. The company sees this strategy as a means to broaden the Xbox ecosystem’s audience and drive increased subscriptions to Xbox Game Pass.
