At Shot Show 2025, Mossberg unveiled the latest addition to its popular 940 Pro shotgun series: the Mossberg 940 Pro Tactical SPX. This new semi-auto shotgun features an improved gas system for cleaner operation and several tactical enhancements designed for end users. Notable upgrades include an optics-ready receiver, integrated heat shield, M-LOK mounting slots, adjustable length of pull, and corrosion-resistant components. Mossberg 940 Pro Tactical SPX with a Holosun 407k

Mossberg has refined its widely popular 940 Pro Tactical 12-gauge semi-auto shotgun with new and highly sought-after tactical features, introducing the 940 Pro Tactical SPX. Built on Mossberg’s redesigned, cleaner-running 940 Pro gas system, this feature-rich, optic-ready platform is available in both 8-shot and 5-shot versions, each equipped with an 18.5-inch AccuChoke®-compatible barrel. The lineup includes five models, with options such as a Holosun® Micro Dot Combo and Cerakote® finishes for added durability.

Like all 940 Pro shotguns, the Tactical SPX is built with corrosion-resistant internal components, including a nickel boron-coated gas piston, magazine tube, hammer, and sear. Its self-cleaning gas system allows for longer intervals between cleanings, ensuring smooth and reliable operation.
