Smith & Wesson Expands the M&P 2.0 Metal Line with Direct-Mount Aimpoint ACRO Cut
Last week, Smith & Wesson unveiled the latest addition to its metal-frame pistol lineup: the M&P9 M2.0 Metal featuring a slide cut designed to directly mount the Aimpoint ACRO. The move continues the company’s steady refinement of the M2.0 series, pairing duty-grade durability with a purpose-built optics solution.
This full-size configuration features a 4.25-inch barrel, aggressive front and rear slide serrations, optic-height night sights, and a metal frame with interchangeable palmswell backstraps. Built on a 7075-T6 aluminum frame with a black anodized finish, the pistol maintains the performance pedigree expected from the M&P Metal series while integrating a dedicated ACRO footprint for a streamlined, plate-free mounting solution.
