Smith & Wesson Releases The Performance Center Equalizer Carry Comp in 9mm

Smith & Wesson continues to expand its user-friendly defensive pistol lineup with the introduction of the Equalizer Carry Comp in 9mm. The newest addition to the Equalizer family seeks to expand on the platform’s reputation for accessibility and control in a subcompact form factor.

At the core of the Equalizer Carry Comp is Smith & Wesson’s Easy-to-Rack slide system, engineered to make slide manipulation easier for shooters with limited hand strength or mobility. While designed with accessibility in mind, the system also benefits experienced shooters by making press checks and slide manipulation faster and more intuitive under stress.

The pistol also incorporates the Carry Comp PowerPort, a chuck port system that is designed to reduce muzzle rise and keep the sights flat during recoil. By mitigating muzzle rise, the design allows shooters to maintain a clearer sight picture and deliver faster, more controlled follow-up shots.

Rounding out the package is a Performance Center–tuned trigger. The PC trigger refines the Equalizer’s trigger a solid wall, and a clean, crisp break. These improvements aimed at delivering greater consistency and precision shot after shot.
