Earlier this year at SHOT Show 2024, Smith & Wesson introduced the Model 1854, paying homage to the iconic lever-action rifle. Six months later, two new models chambered in the renowned .45 Colt cartridge were unveiled.
Smith & Wesson has officially unveiled the newest member of the Performance Center M&P 2.0 lineup: the ported M&P9 M2.0 Compact Carry Comp. This new pistol from S&W focuses on enhancing the shooter’s experience by reducing recoil with a strategically cut slide and ported barrel.
At SHOT Show 2024, Smith & Wesson unveiled their new lever-action rifle, the Model 1854. Back in 1854, Smith & Wesson patented their first lever-action rifle, the Volcanic lever-action. The new Model 1854 pays homage to that iconic rifle from 170 years ago. Smith & Wesson has taken the time and painstaking detail to craft a rifle that incorporates smooth and crisp action along with excellent craftsmanship.
Smith & Wesson recently released a new edition to the celebrated M&P 2.0 series with a new Performance Center Metal M&P9 M2.0 featuring a sleek OD Green Cerakote finish. The new M&P pistol features a threaded barrel with a Faxon compensator to reduce felt recoil and allow for less muzzle rise and quicker follow-up shots. The new metal frame pistol also comes optics-ready with suppressor height sights, a karambit knife, and a challenge coin. The new M&P M2.0 comes with two 23-round magazines and two 17-round magazines.
Earlier this week, Smith & Wesson announced its newest edition to the M&P series, the M&P 22 Magnum. The new M&P 22 Magnum is a gas-operated system with an internal hammer. S&W chose this system for enhanced performance and reliability.
The Smith & Wesson M&P 2.0 series of pistols have been a primary workhorse for the company. Over the years, the lineup and diversity of the M&P 2.0 has grown substantially. Now, Smith & Wesson has entered the PCC market with the M&P FPC or Folding Pistol Carbine. The new folder from S&W comes optics-ready, features a unique folding mechanism, and uses M&P magazines.
Over the last few years, more firearm manufacturers are building pistols chambered in the exotic 5.7 round. Ruger jumped into the market a few years back with the Ruger 5.7 and then the PSA 5.7 Rock at Shot Show 2022. Now, Smith & Wesson has entered the foray with the M&P 5.7 pistol.
Smith & Wesson is building off of the popularity of their highly successful M&P 2.0 EZ series with the introduction of the new Equalizer micro-compact pistol. With the Equalizer Smith & Wesson seeks to balance size, capacity, and ease of use into a micro-compact form factor.
