With the Equalizer Smith & Wesson seeks to balance size, capacity, and ease of use into a micro-compact form factor. The Equalizer features Smith & Wesson’s easy-to-rack technology and comes optics-ready from the factory. Let’s take a closer look at the Equalizer and see what it brings to the crowded micro-compact space.
The Smith & Wesson Equalizer is a hammered-fired pistol that features an optics-ready slide, reversible magazine release, grip safety, 3-dot iron sights, a loaded chamber indicator, and an 18-degree grip angle. The Equalizer is available in two versions: with an ambidextrous manual thumb safety or without manual safety. The Equalizer comes with either 10, 13, or 15-round magazines depending on the laws of your state.

Next-gen EZ technology, low recoil impulse, and versatile magazine capacity all in a compact footprint make the EQUALIZERTM an ultimate CCW. This 9MM offering provides the perfect balance of power and capacity across 10, 13, and 15-round magazines.
The EQUALIZERTM features a single-action trigger that allows for a short take-up, clean break, and fast reset to make follow-up shots quicker. The slide operates using easy-to-rack technology to cater to a wide variety of needs and the frame includes a Picatinny-style rail to mount lights or lasers for any defense scenario. A new optic cut pattern allows the user to mount their choice of sight for enhanced accuracy and the 3.675” barrel gives a longer sight radius for increased iron sight precision. The EQUALIZERTM also features a new grip texture and pattern designed to give you more control when firing and more comfort when carrying.

Now, a little bit about me. I served six years in the Marines Corps as an 0311. I was in 2nd BN 4th Marines, 5th Marine Reg, 1st Mar Div. I was in Golf Company while in 2/4. I was deployed twice during my time in. I did one deployment to Afghanistan and my second was on apart of 31st MEU. I departed the military in September of 2015. I currently work as an RSO at a local range in Vegas.
