Yesterday, CD Projket Red conducted a live stream of gameplay for Cyberpunk 2077. The livestream was called the 2019 Deep Dive Stream. The purpose of this stream was to show off how gameplay will work within Cyberpunk 2077. CD Projket Red showed about 15 minutes of actual gameplay footage during the stream. The rest of the stream was dedicated to talking with project and quest designers about Night City and gameplay within Cyberpunk.
When watching the stream of the gameplay you can see that the content is heavily curated by CD Projket Red. Which is fine. It is done to have understanding and context to what is going on gameplay wise.
The gameplay stream flows pretty seamlessly. First, you start off with an intro into the gameplay content. Essentially, what to expect in the demo. Next, the gameplay touches on different play styles available to players in Cyberpunk 2077. The two play styles being shown in the gameplay footage are of a strong solo and net runner builds. The stream continues and explores the history of Pacifica one of the six Districts in Night City. After the introduction of Pacifica the stream explores two of the gangs within Cyberpunk 2077. Which are The Voodoo Boys and The Animals. Finally, after the world building and mission setup we get to see the strong solo and net runner builds in action. Lastly, the gameplay touches on the lore of CyberPunk 2077 and the role of Johnny Sliverhand within your Cyberpunk journey.
I am keeping it brief to allow you to watch the trailer but it is a lot of information to be gleamed from the gameplay. The trailer does an excellent job of showing how dynamic and fluid the world will be depending on player choice. Only thing the gameplay stream did was up my excitement for Cyberpunk 2077 even more!
Have you seen the trailer? What did you think? Let me know in the comments below.
