Over the last few years the ATF has been overhauling the system to do a push to online eForms for suppressors. In December of 2021, that faroff concept became a reality when Silencer Central announced the of online submission for your suppressor tax stamp. With this new system the ATF promised a turn around time of less than 90 days on eform submissions. Since, then Silencer Central has been seeing submission in that time. Last week, Silencer Central had a customers eform approved in 9 days from time of submission!
Last week, on social media to share the big news Silencer Central made a video showing them hand delivering the Banish 30 suppressor to Aaron’s front door in Oklahoma. This is big news within the industry at the speed which suppressors are currently being approved by the ATF.
Previously, before this modernized system was implemented all Form4s where submitted through the mail to the ATF. Then, suppressor owners would have to wait anywhere between 8-14 months on average to receive their cans. The new online submission method has dramatically increased approval efficiency by the ATF.
Below, is a press release about the expedited eForm process for suppressors.
