Recently, B&T announced the release of their new 5.56 can the ROTEX-X Suppressor. This is lightweight version of the ROTEX-V that is currently in use by NATO allies throughout Europe. The new ROTEX-X maintains the same performance as it’s NATO counterpart minus the weight. The new suppressor from B&T is 20% lighter than the ROTEX-V. This weight reduction should translate in reducing point of aim and point of impact upon your target. The new ROTEX-X will be available in 5.56 and 7.62 models. While also coming in either full size or compact size.
Below, is the press statement and product description from B&T.
Press Statement
The ROTEX-V has a rich heritage and is widely used on the service rifles of many European NATO countries, and has so for many years” said Jon Scott, Vice President of Sales, B&T USA. “The ROTEX-X is an evolution of the V, which maintains the same performance attributes of its predecessor, yet has been reengineered to reduce its weight by about 20%. Industry leading sound and flash reduction, as well as ease of use remain unchanged. Like the ROTEX-V, the new X will be available in 5.56 NATO and 7.62 NATO, compact and full-size models — each with a double-lock quick detach mechanism compatible with NATO-spec A2 flash hiders. The ROTEX-X is an incredible value at $675 (MSRP), making it a true standout among its competitors, especially given its list of military and federal end users.
Product Description
The ROTEX-X is an evolution of the well-know and widely used ROTEX-V. The new Rotex-X maintains the same performance attributes of its predecessor, yet has been reengineered to reduce its weight by 20%, thus reducing deviation in point of aim/point of impact — all while providing industry leading sound and flash reduction, and ease of use, thanks to its compatibility with any NATO MIL-STD flash hider.
The new B&T ROTEX-X is available now for $675 not including the price of the tax stamp. The overall price plus tax stamp would be $875 plus your state’s sale tax. Which brings in B&T at a great price.
