The newest generation of the MCX lineup has been highly anticipated in the commercial market since the U.S. Army announced SIG as the winner of the NGSW program—now the rifle is finally available for purchase. The new MCX SPEAR will be available in 7.62x51mm NATO and 6.5 Creedmoor during its initial run with the .277 Fury coming down the road. The MCX Spear is piston operated system with the same manual of Arms as an AR-15, and takes AR-10 pattern magazines. The MCX Spear will be offered in 13” SBR, 13” pistol, and 16.3” rifle configurations.

Below are the press release, features, and specifications for the MCX Spear by SIG SAUER.

The price of the MCX Spear is currently unknown. My estimate for this rifle will be around the Knights Armament SR-25 price point. So I can seek this rifle costing anywhere between $5,000-$7,000.
